There are multiple sources of scholarship information, including the Office of Admissions and the Office of Student Financial Aid

School of Art & Art History scholarships are awarded based on the criteria listed below and the availability of funds. The SAAH scholarship coordinator is Liz Cecil (elizabeth-cecil@uiowa.edu). All scholarship applications are due February 1 and scholarship winners will be notified by the end of March.

Len Everett Fund for Excellence Scholarship
Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student.

Orton and Eugenia Hamby Scholarship
Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student.

Iowa Center for the Arts Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshmen or undergraduate students with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Mary Sue Miller Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshmen or undergraduate students based on academic record and financial need; preference to students from Fremont County, IA.

Emma McAllister Novel Scholarship
Awarded to minority students; based on merit and financial need.

Howard & Ruth Schumacher Scholarship
Awarded to one undergraduate student who demonstrates exceptional artistic or scholarly talent; minimum GPA of 2.75.

Stephens Scholarship
Awarded to deserving undergraduate students who exhibit academic merit, with preference given to students who have graduated from an Iowa high school.

Lucinda Mendenhalle Wilde Scholarship
Awarded to an upper-class undergraduate or graduate student.

Dimensional Practice

Glenn Nelson Scholarship
Awarded to upper-class undergraduate or graduate students in Ceramics who show a conceptual and technical excellence in the making of pots.

Jewelry & Metals Arts Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students in Jewelry & Metal Arts.

Louise L. Osten Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students in Jewelry & Metals Arts with a minimum 2.75 GPA; based on ability and financial need.

Eve Drewelowe Scholarship
Awarded to a Painting BFA student with preference given to a female student.

Printmaking

Elizabeth Catlett Scholarship
Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student in Printmaking who is African-American or Latino.
