Painting and Drawing

Claire Whitehurst's current work explores abstracted and structural representations of organic form through plaster, ceramic, drawing and painting. The varied pieces, operating singularly or arranged in collaboration with one another, reflect through a language that lingers between reality and imagination, asking the viewer to sort out their meaning. Claire is interested in exploring a visual vocabulary informed by physical and psychological relationships of color, form, line, texture and weight.
