Ancient Mediterranean Art
Joshua is a first-year MA student in Art History specializing in ancient Mediterranean Art. He received his BA in Integrative Studies with a focus in Art History from Ferris State University. During his time there, Joshua presented a paper at the Grand Rapids Undergraduate Art History Symposium that expanded upon prior research on the meaning of damages and repairs to Early Cycladic figures. He is interested in sacred art in everyday artifacts, funerary art, and exploring how maintenance made to artifacts in antiquity can shed light on their cultural significance.
