Patrick Kepler is a second-year Masters of Fine Arts candidate studying graphic design at the University of Iowa. Kepler also received his BFA in graphic design from the University of Iowa in 2011. Before his graduate studies, Kepler worked as an Associate Art Director for a higher education learning company.

Patrick’s work seeks to explore the trajectory of trauma through the lens of design. Night terrors, body image, and queer masculinity are the manifestations of trauma that are of particular interest to him. Although initially focused on illustration, Kepler’s work seeks to bridge the gaps between multimedia, design, performance, and storytelling.
