Mahsa Fallah is an artist from Tehran, Iran, holding both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Puppet Theatre from the University of Tehran, College of Fine Arts. Since 2015, she has worked as a puppeteer, designer, and director.

In her early works, Mahsa primarily delved into the realm of theatre and performance art, using conventional puppetry techniques as a medium for storytelling. Her creations are characterized by their narrative nature and time-based presentations, often exploring themes related to puppets, nonhumans, and the dynamics of controlling power. Within these narratives, she weaves in elements of social, psychological, and individual concerns, incorporating applicable theories into her artistic practice.

She is driven by an interest in bridging the concepts of puppetry, performance art, and visual expression by seeking to develop new storytelling forms that encourage viewer engagement and invite them to reflect on their own relationships and experiences. In her work, she employs various materials and techniques, ranging from traditional mediums like paper, clay, wood, and foam to the integration of found objects, augmented reality (AR), pop-up elements, and kinetic sculptures.

Currently, Mahsa is an MA/MFA candidate in sculpture and intermedia at the University of Iowa.
