For nearly 50 years, the University of Iowa's graduate printmaking program has ranked among the best in the country.
The university's tradition of exhibiting graduate work has led to prints in juried shows throughout the United States and abroad. Group exhibits of student work often are sent to other schools on an exchange basis. Actual masterworks on paper are accessible through a comprehensive museum collection of prints including all techniques and all periods of art history.
The program is actively involved with the university's papermaking facilities and the Center for the Book.
