Jenna Davis
Jenna Davis is an experimental interdisciplinary artist and educator, currently pursuing dual graduate degrees in Sculpture/Intermedia and Art Education at the University of Iowa. Davis’s creative practice is dynamic and informed by an interest in dissolving the lines between disciplines, media, and conceptual investigations. Taking form through the exploration and employment of technology, organic living and non-living matter, and human-made material, Davis’s work investigates themes of ecology, becoming, homing, and interconnection/dependence. Most recently, the resulting work has manifested as immersive sensory installation and time-based interactive performance. Davis seeks expansion through practices and processes that creatively and critically engage audience, material, method, place, and time—seeing each as a co-conspirator in the progression of the work.
