Macayla (Mako) Sandusky is a current graduate student in ceramics at The University of Iowa and received a BFA from The University of Arkansas in 2017. Macayla has been selected for various juried exhibitions including the 2026 Strictly Functional Exhibition and the inaugural New Art Dealer’s Association Ceramic Market in 2024. They’ve held professional positions in artist studios in New York City and taught all levels of community classes at studios such as Greenwich House Pottery and BKLYN Clay. Macayla has participated in residencies at Watershed Center for Ceramic Craft, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and was the Summer Teaching Fellow at Craigardan Residency in 2025.
