David Dunlap received a BA from Colorado College and MFA degrees from Yale University. Dunlap has received a National Endowment for the Arts Individual Artists Fellowship (1989), National Endowment for the Arts (Rockefeller Foundation regional inter-arts award, and McKnight/Intermedia Arts Fellowship (1994).
