John Dilg

Biography

John Dilg was born in Evanston, Illinois. He earned a BFA degree in painting and filmmaking at Rhode Island School of Design.  Dilg has had one-person exhibitions in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, St. Louis, Memphis, Portland, OR, Nashville, New Delhi, INDIA, and others. His next exhibition will be in London, in January, 2021. Dilg is the recipient of a Fulbright Grant to India, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and three residencies at the YADDO Foundation. He has been a visiting artist at more than 40 institutions, including The University of Chicago, Sarah Lawrence College, Yale University, The University of Pennsylvania, and Stanford University. Public Collections include the Arkansas Arts Center, the Figge Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Illinois State University and others. Reviews include Art in America, The Boston Globe, The Huffington Post, Hyperallergic, The New York Times, and The New Art Examiner.
