Research Interests

Printmaking

Lya Finston (she/her/hers) is an artist and current graduate student in UI's Printmaking class of 2025. Lya works primarily with stone lithography, screenprinting, and relief, which she often applies to animation and sculpture.

She has previously served as a printmaking TA and shop technician for Bucknell University, a Spudnik Press studio fellow, a publishing assistant at Hoofprint, and a Circulation Assistant at the Ryerson & Burnham Library of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2018, Lya graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio with a BA in Studio Art and German Language.
